Have not used the shoup feed chains yet but have used there products in the past and had good luck with them. I will agree that somtimes you get what you pay for but I do not know how else the message can be sent to agco that there parts are to high. Sometimes as much as 50% on certain items.

Have used the Shoup chains for the last 15 yrs. with no problems. Sorry but there is no way that a OEM feeder chains are worth double the money. Make sure that you get the latest A557 with hour glass side links. This helps cut wieght of the chain, pin size is still the same. "Drives" is the brand that Shoup uses as a supplier and the last I had heard that is what AGCO was using unless they just changed suppliers. This goes back to the buyers at AGCO,they need to have a clue what they are purchasing and what a realistic value would be for the item they are purchasing. I don't feel I am stepping on Dealers toes here as they have said if we feel something is over priced that they can send in a report or comment to check on that particular item. This has worked on cylinder bar pricing as AGCO is right in the ball park, but I have had my Dealer send in comments on the feeder chains and nothing has been done. Hyper Harvest II

Put a set of Shoup chains in last fall. Bought only the chains and used the existing slats. They supplied the bolts, the nuts had loctite on them but went ahead and also added liquid loctite when I installed them. The chain I took out was Drives, the same supplied by Shoup. I looked at new Agco chain and it looked identical to what Shoup sells. Seen no reason to donate the extra dollars to Agco.
