Combines R62 loses rpm s

Check a couple of the easy things first. Just had a customer about two weeks ago have the tee fitting that screws into the cover on the governor of the injection pump that houses the aneroid system break and when this happens lack of HP results.(One line going to this tee comes from intake manifold and other line goes to waste-gate on turbo.) Also check the short coupling hose to the waste-gate on turbo. Have seen this hose fail due to age or mouse chewing. If these items are OK then I would definetly change the fuel filters if they have not already been changed. When water seperator filter is off, turn fuel on to check fuel flow from tank. Should be free flowing, if not remove fuel cap and blow air back into tank to clear line. Hopefully you will find that it is something simple. Hyper Harvest II

Thanks for the response. Had the same problem in beans early this fall. Changed all filters and seemed to solve problem. Just started doing it again today. Will check the easy things tomorrow. Never checked fuel line. Thanks for the help, rrhead

If this does not fix problem -check wastegate actuator.Isolate by unhooking hose at actuator and clamping a 1_4" bolt in hose.If power is back-replace actuator.

Make sure the line you plug per kernal is the line that goes to intake. line going to wastegate control can be left unhooked. Also pump hand fuel pump quite slowly. You should hear slight squelling from fuel charge check valve on main pump. It is a banjo bolt that holds return line in place. Banjo bolt has a little steel ball pressed into it to retain spring and ball valve. If no squelling while pumping slow I would highly suspect the fuel charge pump. Sometimes oring has blown in it and sometimes junk in it. Rarely I will find junk in fuel charge check valve or spring has shrunk up or broke. Good luck

if it is a new R-62 follow the suction line from the tank, up to in front of the engine, there is a long silver tube take it out and clean it you will find it full of junk, it is more of a screen than a filter, we had the same problem and nobody told us about this screen found it by following the line, we cleaned it out and have not had a problem since.
