There are excellant wireing diagrams in operators manual. locate shaft monitor section and trace wire that comes from senders you are having trouble with. Plugs are labled with numbers to correspond with diagrams. Unplug module and locate two connections for which ever monitor and probe with ohm meter. You should find approximatly 500 ohms. If not go down to next plug inside access cover on outside (toward side door) and find plug with proper number of terminals. Test same two wires and follow numbers on plug and or colors of wires. If still not 500 ohms I would follow harness all the way to sender. Hooking ohm meter between any of them wires and ground should show no connection. You check all this without machine running. Don't know what kind of voltage would be coming from module. Your right that one of the wires is ground but it gets grounded back threw module. I sometimes will just wiggle the proper plug in side counsel and plug right at module with machine up to speed to see if light goes out. Module can be tested in module tester but it is best just to go ahead and check harness and sender with ohmmeter first. Module has tweaker screws on side of it so you can adjust the RPM at which light goes out (or comes on). Shouldn't need to adjust tweaker screws as long as no one has monkeyed with them. Turn machine over by hand while watching clearance at sender. All six legs should just clear sender. Good luck
