I've operated both from my experience there about the same in capacity but the deere is far more advanced in technology and way easier to set up

Having only operated the 62 I couldnt compare them. However we have found the 62 very easy to setup, and although it is an old design I'm not sure what I would change. Besides the cab!!

Greengoose, Maybe I'm missing something here, but would you explain that way easier and way more advanced part to meIJIJIJIJIJIJ Thanks, Illinois Gleaner

I have to fully agree with you on the Gleaner's having a bad cab. I could barely last 8 hrs in the gleaner cab unlike the deere cab where I could stay in it all day and night and still be comfortable.

Not looking for nasty comments, just our experience. Ran gleaners since 1967. Had 3 62's. Traded for 9650sts this fall.We ran side by side and were very happy with the capacity and thought it was just as easy to set as the R62.The cab was so much better on the sts.Got to see a cab for 2003 gleaners and we still did'nt think as good. We have a neighbor that got a 9650 3 years ago and have had little problems with it. I am a firm believer that your decisions on brands should be based on who you think you will get the best service from.

You may pay more for the Deere to start with, but I'm sure the repair bills and chiropractor bills will soon add up.

Clearly, you've already heard that a Deere is worth more come trading time so I thought I'd tell you more reasons why I feel Deere is the right choice. Here in Ontario Gleaners are few and far between.

He probably means that you don't have to install a truckload of "kits" to make the combine work!
