I had the same problem. Dealer tried to change rotor and concave settings so it would not break the cobs as much but he did not get anywhere. I ended up putting a round hole sieve in it. But then we kept changing from corn to beans all the time and I used the soy sieve and it was almost as good. Peter

There is a long finger, square tooth chaffer that is recommended for corn. It is supposed to have higher capacity, I don't know if it does or not, but we were told it does, so we change it between corn and beans. I don't want to burst your bubble, but we still fight the broken cob in the tank problem. One thing about it though, you don't leave any kernels on the cob that gets spit out the back.

We use the long square tooth chaffer in both corn and beans. We also have separate screens for corn and beans. Every load the past several years has graded No 2 or better with no dockage. We must be doing something right. Tom in MN

It seems like some varieties of corn are much worse than others.
