Combines R65 picking up to many stones

lightning, Are these bigger stones or smaller fist size stones. Is your flex springs set light enough to respond to the objects in your field (as well as sensitivity). leaving long stubble like that it sounds like to much ground speed for your reel speed. For a flex head to go over stones they have to have an opportunity to get the gaurds to slide over the top. If your reels are pulling them in then an air reel will help as you will get a chance to see them sitting on your cutterbar. Stones that are not partially in the ground are always a challenge for flex heads. A sump rather then rock door would be better in your case. later Dave

How fast is your header raising and lowering also how sensitive is the header control set.Also is your acumalator on all the way I run ours just cracked on. Tim

You must be nuts running stones through a new R65. Try using a land roller after seeding. Or seed the land back into hay.
