Neighbor has a 98 R-72 with the M-11,has a lot more power and lug than my 8.3 in a 2001 R-62.He also has the 42" duals,I have 30.5,the duals stabilize the combine more.He also has the turrent, noisier than the swivel, but not many problems.
I have a 98 and 99 R72. The engine in the 72 is night and day difference then the 62.I have had both and you wouldnt believe it unless you drive them both. I personally wouldnt want a turrent auger on a 72,first they look stupid on there, stuck on the side, and second the repair bills on them would be alot higher. The duals you will love wouldnt have one without it. IG
We have a r62 with turet. cost to repair is very high and a lot more work. We had to replace vert. auger gears on bottem and top gear box at 650 to 700 hours. If you unload on the go it is better, but I wouldn,t pay more for one.
