Isn't the P3 rotor 1 1_2" smaller in diameterIJ Do you shim the thresher bars with a 3_4" spacer. I have not seen a P3 rotor, what is the advantage of using it over the P1IJ Pete Hinrichsen

Also good idea to update to the P3 rotor cage by loewen. You can then throw out your cage sweep.

A p3 rotor will work but you have to use spacers under your cylinder bars. Plus it is a good idea if you use p3 rotor to put the p3 channel helical bars in. Then take every other row of wires out of the concave. Then she will go like hell says my brother-in-law. If you need some more info they have been there with N5.

Wish I would have known that was possible before we put in the same cage as original!!! Oh well, I guess if it runs for another 20 years now we know. The way combine prices are going we may still be using it.

On our p3 rotor the rub bars are so much thicker that it looks like it measured the same(25 inches i think) but I will measure it again.Do you know the thickness of the spacersIJ

Diameter of cage and cylinder are nearly identical from P1 to P3. The length changed just a bit over the years but positioning the bearing holder or changeing design of bearing holder a bit will alow a swap.
