Rotary capacity = HP You are going to pay 10% more for 20% more HP and thus capacity. Sounds like a no-brainer. I've not looked too closely at the 5 series yet, but I would guess that the cooling system will be larger on the 75, in order to accomodate the larger engine. If you are working in hot temps, that can sometimes be an advantage also.

RJT, Your in corn and soybean country rightIJ Probably not a lot of differnce in corn most of the time. Green soybeans is another story...hard to beat horsepower. Not sure anymore but didn't the R-72's come with more chromed parts that R-62'sIJ

A page-by-page review of the parts book will tell you exactly what the differences are. If new machines are the same as old ones you will find heavier components like clean grain sprockets, for example, that you can't see by looking at the machines but you may appreciate them once you get in the field. you can never have too much power. especially if your land is rolling or you have to harvest tough grain.

I do not think it is worth it unless you are running a 12 row corn head. A local man just bought a R72. I believed he can run about 6.5mph in 150 bushel corn. I think you also get more bin capacity.
