Have you tried the modified airintake where air is sucked in from top instead of bottom. I hear that will become standard in 06 60 series machines.

Well compared to the stock 9750sts i ran the year before, it kept it very well cooled never close to the red even on the hottest windiest day. The 9750 kept overheating due to having chaff build up when it was real hot and windy. We would brush it off then keep going then it would overheat again on that same side of the field going in the same direction. We blew off the radiator every once in awhile to keep it clean and there wasnt a whole lot of chaff compared to the ones without the scoop.

Sounds positive, though it looks like it isnt something that will come in a "kit" form. looked like the scoop was actually mounted to the radiator or was there some seal and it was mounted to the swing doorIJ

Well that right there was one of the many experimental parts JD added before the harvest season. Basically them engineers took off the outside laddder door and radiator door. Then added the radiator door with scoop and hacked up outside door. I did however see the same thing on a different crews machine but it looked like the outside ladder door was molded into the scoop shape. Blended that scoop real well with the machine made it look more professional looking and not so crude like the ones we had. So im thinking they will have some sort of kit or at least another manufacturer will in the near future. Ive got more pics of those and other combines if you or anyone else would like to see them. http:__www.mxnkreations.com_farming.htm I had to build a website for one of my computer classes and I just never bothered to cancel the site.
