Combines Raising the head retracts bin unloader

Had this problem on our M2 this summer. There was a metal shaving holding the unloader swing valve open. When the valve stack is pressurized to operate another function, oil would leak through to the unloader swing. Made sense after finding the problem, but it was a head scratcher for a while.

That's a weird one Tom. Unplug wires to auger swing to quickly figure if it is electrical or hydralic. Double check to see if holding reel up button causes same problem for that would point to hydralics. If hydralic you would likely find broken centering spring or pluged orfice in that spool but first and easiest would be carefully pull down needle valves to clean possible junk away. If auger starts to swing and keeps swinging even after your done lifting header you need to look into electrical. First thing I would do is unplug auto swing module. There was a time when many unloaders would just start swinging when an electrical function was used. The problem was the relays they had in auto swing module. The module has the auto on off switch located in it. let us know how you get along.

Don't I know that one Dan. Years ago I started up the N7 and the unloader tube folded out, only problem was I was still in the shed at the time. Dad was very upset with me until he was told to try it and the same thing happened again. Ever since then the auto function is switched off when near sheds.

Same as Johnboy N7 used to swing up unloader when starting engine! Used the same remedy as JB! Rolf

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. We are in the middle of corn harvest so I will not monkey around with wires or valves until we are finished. I just wont unload while the header is running. Extending the auger in a building would be quite embarrassing to say the least. Now how can a guy remember to turn off the auto swing feature when near buildings, power poles, trees, etc.IJ

the little relay modules were at fault. They were to be changed out I think.

If one buys an unloading $y$tem a time or two it tends to burn into the synapsis of the brain and trigger a memory burst.
