Combines rake up

I have neighbors that use them all the time in canola, and I thought they didn't look real good for canola myself. But, whatever works for one guy doesn't work for the next. I figured the canola would shatter and fall between PU belts. JMO

I ran a rakeup in sask and if your pickup speed is set right you wont have a problem.

We use rake-up pickups on our combines. We used to use victory pickups and were not satisfied with the quality and durability. We were very happy with the pickups, they were almost maintence free, and no they do not shatter the canola at all. You have to make sure to set the speed of the pickup to match your ground speed, as any pickup turning too fast will shatter. Another plus is you will not pick up stones with a rake up.
