I think your talking about the continous sickle drive aren't youIJ If that's the case, then yes they are there, have a 30 ft JD and 30 Ft CIH set up with them.

Thanks. I appreciate the reply. I still think it is the way to go for a table.

Are you aware that Cyrus McCormick's first reaper had a continous belted sickle. I think he used a leather strap with sections riveted to it. The nice thing about farming is, everyone gets to have an opinion, but when I look at a combine, every belted drive gets a point - every roller chain takes away two points. The thought of a 70 foot roller chain, running in the dirt all day takes away several points, in my opinion. Ed in Montana

true, dirt and chains are a bad mix, but with a constant oiler I still think it would work.

On a VERY early prototype, before HCC, Inc. became involed, I did, in fact have an oiler system on the unit. We found that it drew dust and dirt into the chain joints. We now run the system without lubrcation. This method of operating has led to negligible chain wear. As for "running in the dirt", I'm not sure what crops you harvest, but with the Razer installed on a floating cutterbar in soybean operation, if the down pressure is set correctly, the actual chain very seldom contacts soil. Through thousands of acres of testing and refinements, the chain wear has been exceptional.

Seen the Razor at the FPS. Sorry, but I wasnt' impressed. I personally felt the rebuilt 820 IH did a better job than any new head there.
