I have a Agleader 3000 on my R-62 and it has been a very good monitor, accurate and easy to use.A neighbor has a Fieldstar and it never has been as easy or accurate as the Agleader. His monitor is 4years old so maybe there have been improvements.
Am running a 2002 R-62 with fieldstar. No improvements at all, did try to persevere with it but ended up pulling the plug to save a great deal of frustration. Oh well, win some lose some!! Regards, silver aussie.
We went with the Fieldstar in our last 72. Coming from numerours years of the Agleader, going to the fieldstar was a major mistake. Dealer support is next to nothing and the tech guys are so few and far between they don't offer much help either. The hardware is very nice, but the accuracy is a joke.
I'm surely no expert on Fieldstar for I've never needed to be. Any problem we have had were worked out extremely promply with the help of Fieldstar service in Hesston. My impression is they are dead serious about working any bugs out of Fieldstar so please give them a call. I would get in touch with them personally if you are having problems. Demand some answers to your concerns and if there are none do what you need to do. There is a very resent bulliton on the possible problem with yeild monitor. Our systems are being used mainly in wheat and have been extremely accurate. I know the modification for yeild sensor is mainly for corn and soybeans and maybe that is where you guys are having trouble. I have seen funnel for moisture sensor plug up and maybe that is happening to you from time to time. I have been tempted to make drain for funnel larger but haven't yet. Good luck in whatever you do.
