Combines rear axle

It's not uncommon anyway. I know you're limited on tire size because of the Mudhog. On machines without rear assist, I've had better longevity on rear axles and framing running 18.4 - 16.1 tires than on the ones I ran 14.9 - whatever they were.

very common problem. I broke mine in same place and it's NOT 4wd. Do you have the supports added on each side of combine that bolts to the axle and to the frame of combineIJ Also when these are added the shims on pivot tube must be removed to allow axle pivot to move freely in and out as axle is supported by the braces now. The shims are the large like 4 inch diameter washers that are or were on the 4" (about 4", not sure of actual diameter) pivot tube. The tube needs to slid in and out of pivot frame maybe 1_8 to 1_4 inch as axle tilts sideways. Should have been taken out by installer and axle adjusted for mud hog use. If you need more details, I think I can find the installation manual and help you furthur. Ted CenOH

Don't need the axle, but am curious to what RWA unit you are installing and how do you like itIJ Does it make a lot of difference on this machineIJ
