This is what I did. We were having problems with soybeans not feeding even. ( to short ) When a wad would come in the second feeder house would plug. What we did to fix this was move the blocks to corn position and cut off the top so there would be the same amount of travel as in the grain position. We have never moved them back. We cut beans wheat milo and corn. The combine does have shocks on the feeder houses. I think you would have to have a very poor crop before you would need to move the drum down again.
