Are you asking this question or do you know if they have suspended production on the 8010

I don't no if its the 8010 or just the 2300. Cousin works at grand Island plant and he was telling me about it. They are still making the New Hollands though.

It's a combination of things. Basically, they have had a lot of problems overall with them. It didn't go nearly as smoothly as they thought it would. That's why they only produced a "few" of them. (I know that some of yours worked "perfect" all year, but most of them didn't.)

At least they produced a few of them and then went back to work instead of using farmers as the RandD unlike another combine brand. I give you three guesses to what that brand was.

I read that only one 2004 8010 was to be produced. It is scheduled to go to NC for testing in soybeans. Will be brought back after the season and gone through to see how effective changes were and if others needed.

the 2300 series is in the process of being moved to grand island soon.they moved the production of rigid and corn heads to saskatoon to make room for the 2300 s.

I think they 're making more than that, the local dealer has sold six "04" 8010's for next year so far.

They finally found the source of the fire problem. All the AFX combines already sold are supposed to be returned to GI for a complete revision. The production of AFX8010 will continue and 2004 models will be available. I also heard that three new models would come out soon: the AFX6010 (replacing the 2366 in 2005),the AFX7010 (replacing the 2388 in 2005)and a surprise model, the AFX8020(or maybe AFX9010),the biggest combine ever on the market, with a 500 hp engine in it. (all these infos come from a Case representative, so they're probably true)

Not that I want to rain on your parade but what would you expect a "Case Rep" to tell you. He would say this even if they had no idea what is causing the fires I mean he wouldn't tell you Case has no idea and they will not be making the 8010 for at least 4 more years and a replacment model for the 2388 is at least 5 years away. I don't mean to sound cynical but I am getting tired of these reps telling us what we want to hear. These reps sometimes seem to forget about the guys who are buying these combines because with out us they would have no job.
