Combines Red Dealer in MitchellIJ

The only thing I have been told is that Mitchell has ceased to be a CIH dealership and the inventory has been moved to Stratford and Seaforth. The best thing is to ask the people at these locations what happened as this is a public forum.

Rumour mill has it there were a lot of funny money deals going down with various financing companies and people not knowing they even bought anything. like I said " street rumours "

I was at Mitchell back in late November to pick-up some parts and there was "talk" that Dwight was going to relinguish the CaseIH dealership at THAT time. I don't think there was anything questionable about it; - times are tough for the dealers too. It's too bad, Ward's was an excellent, well-run dealership.

I live near by and also heard that Wards got cought selling out of there terrority and under cutting other CIH dealers from the area. CNH frowned on that kind of behavour. Heard this from a verry good source.

I know there are all kinds of stories about Ward's but I know lot's of people that were involved in this deal and I know a few guys that live around there and I bought all my parts from them. Agricredit were the ones that found out what was going on and then they informed Case-IH. Ward's did not go broke but chose to give up the Case-IH stuff. There have been no charges laid yet but Agricredit and Case-IH are doing there own investigation before turning it to the cops. My friend had the audit guy from Agricredit come to his farm to see his MX tractor. Guess whatIJIJ He doesn't own one. You guys can figure the rest out.

Do you mean that your friend DOESN'T own one, or did he NEVER own one; - it could be either way! I bought a computer from a community flea market years ago, so I OWNED a computer; - that is, until the police made a public appeal for the immediate return of some "hot" computers which were indirectly stolen (not far north of Mitchell). I NO lONGER owned a computer! (ouch)

I bought and financed a used combine from Wards 2 years ago and just this week received a strange letter from case credit asking if I owned the same combine and if the payment info. was correct. Made me wonder about the financing situation as I'd heard the same stories about corruption! My only mistake was to agree with the numbers!

From what I've heard so far, I wouldn't be worried. I don't think the situation is very serious at all.
