i have a 1688, and a 2188. My friend larry has a 9500 deere. Well the point is, that you want a 9600, and larry has a 9500, and larry's is a smaller combine then what you want and larry's 9500 STIll has a bigger capacity then my 1688. No matter what you do to a walker i feel that you will still lose some out the back. but good luck this harvest season!

Of course, you are going to lose some out of the back of a walker combine, virtually impossible to avoid. But, a few years ago, JD came out with a chart showing how much grain loss will equal 1 bushel of grain, between the wheel tracks of a 9600 with a 930 header in wheat(no chaff spreader). and it is something like 115 - 130 kernals of wheat per square foot. Makes me feel pretty good then when I can only find 4 - 8. so I guess that makes a little grain loss more tolerable. my 2 cents worth.
