Combines Reel lift valve

You'll need a .040 poppet kit to stop the raising on its own and order out the .030 orfice to stop the excess lift speed. Hard to say where the orfice went but likely come out and hit the ground when you pulled the .040 poppet seat. Good luck

Had a drain pan under it and did not see it come out. Is it possible that it screwed itself up in there and it is lost in the valve. Maybe it was never there. Installed the poppet seat and valve again, does not raise by itself so far. Going to take the 72's valve apart and see if the .30 orfice is in that one also. Will it hurt anything to run withoutIJ Maybe it will just be faster then. The serial number on the 62 is 68171. Maybe there was a changeIJ

Yes I'm sure it could of unscrewed itself and disapeared at one time or the other. Maybe never in there. Wouldn't worry about it unless it lifts to fast for you. It may cause corn varible to speed up to fast also. May want to get it replaced for that reason if nothing else. Good luck

Won't be doing any corn. I did buy the constant speed header drive kit from Clinton Ag. for the 72. Hope that eliminates my belt problems with the air reels. Also am trying their chopper knives. I installed one in the 62 and am going to get started on the 72 tomorrow. I think I am going to leave orfice out. If there is one in the 72 I will remove that one too. Thanks Dan.

turn off the AHHC, see if does it now. You have to have a system pressure 1. and a leaky raise poppet 2. in order fo rit to raise, I think.

Silverluv, Had a reel lift valve on a N-Series doing the same thing. Put all new o-rings,poppets,seats,etc. in valve and still experienced the same problem. Plumbed a gauge in reel lift hose port and run combine, slowly pressure would start to build and in about 5 min. had a 1000psi pressure showing on gauge. Finally had to replace valve due to internal crack. Hopefully you will find something simple stuck to poppet or seat. Sometimes by cleaning end of poppet and stretching spring a little will solve problem. Good luck, Hyper Harvest II

When I checked into it yesterday I noticed that if I unplug the master valve I can still raise the header and the reel. It seems to me that the master valve is not shutting off. I am going to switch the poppet assembly with the 72 and see if that works beings that the 72 is sitting with a cracked engine fan and will not get one until this afternoon. This happened on Friday night. Thanks
