have you ever tryed welding a 1_4 inch rod to the grain side of the augerIJ saves the edge a long time, keeps the grain from slipping past work flighting rod heats enough to bend as it is welding - pretty easy job, kind of puts the cup back in the Kewanee flighting we bought new augers for the hopper bed...considering lining the troughs with plastic this winter to keep the steel from wearing thru
