I don't know about the deer, but I do know that the old tale that Santa has a red sleigh is wrong - he has a galvanized silver sleigh (unless he has upgraded to the Silver Series!). The silver models feature a MUCH larger hopper for hauling all those toys around, and the green models were too heavy for the reindeer to get it off the ground and way too expensive (resale was crappy too). laugh if you want, but it's all true. Are you sure you don't want to "re-think" that fable, TomIJ Seems to me that the deere (opps, deer) are always IN FRONT of the sleigh, pulling it! I'm not doubting your version, Tom; - I guess I just need some clarification!

That just means the silver sleigh has to go behind and clean up what the deer leave behind. The reason it has to be pulled is because it's got all the weight on that slick ice.

I think the gleaners are called the "silver seeders" for a reason. But you guys just pull in the field and cut and not set it, even though with them you need to reset for each field. We DID have one and thats how that piece of crap was.Never will go back to sliver. P.S. If the gleaners eat so much grain how do you run it through that mickey mouse feeder houseIJ

Aha! The two series brought the true meaning of Silver Savers, not Seeders. Too many landlords were agast at the speed and told me to slow down until they looked behind the combine and found the ground was cleaner than the old A's and 55 JD machines. Send me the Silver Savers. I just wish Santa would cut the price back to about a fair price of $45000-$50000. The prices of grain make it hard to handle that $200,000 price tag. I will admit that N we had would cut down the acres but unless the conditions were perfect we would always kick grain out. We had the local Gleaner dealers out a number of times and they could never set it good either. Do not have this problem with the 9600. I walked behind a R 62 in corn and it was replanting for the next year. But as far as the least grain on the ground in corn i have ever seen is behind an 1680 with a dang good combine driver on it!! We have only cut corn once and by the time we got things almost perfect we had almost already ate the circle down!! It happened so fast you no!!

well the fun turned into guns. had one guy at an elevator blowing how his r-50 was never any good, so on and so on till i said the machine is only as good as the NUT BEHIND THE WHEEl, he shut up in short. found out he drove the machine.
