Back the G over a 55 gal drum and it will set right off. Tie the drive belt out of the way. The M's have a track to slide the chopper forward and a dummy idler ( not to be confused with my brother in law) to leave the belt running.
Not shure if this will work on your G, but it works great on my F2. I just take the belt off. and remove the front 2 chopper bolts. This will allow you to swing it back. I then prop is back with a piece of 1" x 1_4" thick angle iron. Drill a hole in both ends of your angle and bolt it in. Much easier than dropping it completly.
