When i had my 6410 in getting updates to it the dealer, had a 9750 in there getting the rotor pulled out(stone damage)the mechanic said it was a 12 hour job getting it out. He was so mad that he said he would rather take the rotors out of my two R72 he likes the idea of them coming out in 30 min. That is all i can tell you.

The rotor comes out of the front. You need to take the feederhouse off first. Then you need to take all the tines of the rotor because they don't fit through the front. You need to take the feed accelerator out. You need to built yourself some contraption to hold the rotor either with the front end loader or a fork lift. I have never done it myself, so I can't tell you any hours.

I was told by a JD factory technician the shop flat rate was 16 hours for removal. I hope I never have to find out! When I was pulling wrenches for a local JD dealership it was very seldom that a mechanic could beat the flat rate established by Deere. dakota have you finished you end of season reportIJ

Much easier on an Axial Flow too, but to the green rotory people, that is too "conventional."

Hey don`t you wish you had a gleaner .We can have our rotor out of our R-62 less then 1_2 hour and laying on bench.No belts or chains to remove.Only about12 bolts and unplug wire and you got it.

To remove and reinstall the rotor w_2-3 people should take 6-8 hours.

About an hour and a half for an IH, 2 days for a Deere IJ Sign me up for an STS.

The rotor does come out of the front, but why do you need to remove itIJ The only time you need to remove is if there is damage to the rotor skin. You can service all of the wear parts through the side of the machine. No need to remove!
