It's really hard to say, it depends on whether you unload on the go, travel home at night or leave the machine in the field, move between fields a lot and so forth. I've found that 1 in every 10 engine-hours is a non-separator hour, thus, for every 100 hours worked, deduct 10. That's what we always did for custom combining with 1440's and 1660's.

The combine stayed in the fields overnight and the traveled distances to each field was very short. I feel that a 10 to 15 % deduction from engine hrs to sep hrs is very close. What $ per sep hour rate should I be in.
