for 10 years now , we have been puttin UHMW plastic in combines, we sell, everywhere grain can lay over a season and not get properly cleaned out. the header gets the UV_temperature balanced version of UHMW. just this year we've built our first rippled front grain pan, made from 1_2" puckboard. the UHMW is the wear resistant type, more expensive, but in our oldest combines, it doesn't wear out and certainly won't rust which is our biggest problem. one word of caution, clean the wheat out real good cause rats come to wheat and will eat this plastic if they run out of wheat. hope this helps.
