The ones I've replaced over the years had to remove the transistion cone in the front. Make sure everything is clean inside because I torched all the bolts, it's a son of a gun, lay a board over the grain auger and crawl in the front. e-mail and I'll try to help.

I am not sure of what you are working on, I think you mean half of rotor cage or shell, not transition cone. Its easier to just take out rotor and remove front cone, put a piece of plywood on auger bed and torch off bolts to replace either rotor cage shell.
