Hey, just outa curiosity, what kind of numbers are you talking that they are a stealIJIJ This generates an idea for me if they are as cheap as I think you are talking. Don't forget though, with a slipping economy and drought clear throughout the u.s. That is probably more to blame than the mergers in my honest opinion.

I have heard some of those numbers, too. The main reason ist that Claas is still the new kid on the block here and hasn't proven anything yet. But I also know that we are not anywhere close to the bottom end of used equipment prices yet. John Deere is terminating their dealer floor plan. This is forcing them to move iron and will give the whole industry another price crash.

did you see those combinesIJ they were cat lease returns and they were beat up! inside and out! one of them had rock damage and the ladder was almost ripped off, cab door was broke, and more. In other words the people who leased them didn't take care of them (happens with every color) cat didn't want to put any money into them so they sold as is! that is the truth, moct came from down south out of texas.

Question, Now everytime I have ever leased a machine I had to carry, and prove, I had insurance before I could even turn the key. Did they collect a check from the insurance company and figure they'd make more money selling them as is then if they fixed them upIJ Way you described them they were darn lucky to get them sold at all.

cat wanted out, didn't want to spend the money. They sold because they are good machines, BUT needed work and sold at a price to reflect that!

Yep I totally agree, include one more dry year and watch out, there is going to be great buys all over and no one will be able to afford them. Already seen a low hr loaded 9510 sell for 55,550 this winter and they we nuttin but beggin for that

CAT Finace does not check returned machines, nor care what condition they are in or what they sell for. They are hurting every colors values. Deere prices are held up artifically due to the type of lease program they have operated. As long as you rollover your okay. Try to switch colors or buy out and see what it cost.
