Combines residue distribution

Are the paddles on the spreader adjusted, if I recall, to the far left in the slotsIJ Sounds like yours may be in the middle of the slot. Play with that some as mine was doing the same thing but after adjusting that it would spread pretty evenly over nearly 20'. The pods should be spread out over about a 10' to 12' area. Adjust the air flow vanes on the chaff spreader out as far as they can go and, of course, have it in the down position.

The spreader has to be on high speed. I also run a R50. I get a petty even spread (no chopper). Chaff spreader is set for max spread. With the wind up for good beans you can get 12 to 15 feet with the chaff.

Chaff spreader needs to be in lowest position. In other words you need to be either really skinny or raise up chaff spreader to look at chaffer_sieves. Keep playing with spreader settings. It will do a good job in almost any condition but it must be set properly. Wet heavy residue spreads different than dry. We sometimes run two paddles aggressive and the other two retarded. If throwing it too far we will even take off the rubber paddles. The main things to play with are spreader speed, the aggressiveness of the paddles, and removing some or all of the rubber portion of the paddles (note, may need new rubber too).
