Both auger and feeder beater fingers should run nearly indentical to each other, meaning they both reach forward and down at the same time. On the right side of you head that the auger shaft sits in, that fitting should be able to rotate it to change when the fingers start to extend from the auger. Also inside your access plates inside the tube there is a camshaft that the bearings anf fingers run on. make sure this shaft is in a forward position 3-4 inches in front of the center of the auger tube. This is what throws the fingers forward. Check the parts that hold in the camshaft to make sure they are tight and haven't rotated to let the shaft roll down and toward the back. You need not worry about any speed issues or alighning the auger tube fingers with the feeder beater fingers, they should never reach each other anyway. It sounds as if something has come loose inside the tube to me and changed the throw of the fingers. Best of luck
