Combines Return Elevator Sensor

I have a 1999 2388 and the return moniter started acting just like yours about 2_3's through harvest. I have had it "hang up" before, milo is a big problem as stem pieces get in there. We cut about 1650 ac. of clean wheat and at the end it was about useless. If the grain cart and combine had to stop to dump the moniter would still read clear full even though we were just sitting there for 2 minutes. This never happened before. let me know if you find anything out. Here in Kansas we won't have to worry about milo harvest I am afraid. All of the rains have been just west of us.

You will need the Tailings Monitor Kit (PN 255373A1) for about $190 and the Completing Package (PN 255376A1) for about $171. If your SN is later than JJC0192485 you should be able to just plug the sensor in and it will work. If you plug it in and it doesn't work, you will have to also buy the Chip Package (PN 255517A1) for about $62. Our SN is JJCO191654 and we didn't need the Chip, so I wouldn't buy it until you try just plugging it in. let me know if you need any other info, Mike

Your welcome. Hard to say if the chip will be needed or not, but you won't have any trouble installing the kit. It comes with good instructions. I'm looking forward to hearing how it turns out.
