I went to the field demo they were haveing south of Willmar, Rodney was driving, I made one round with him. He was going about 3-1_2 mph with 12 row head. Corn in tank looked nice, cobs were whole and clean. Smoth running and quiet. Very nice combine. I'm going to buy a new combine before the end of the year. I wish I could tell you this one was my choice, but I can't because there are no dealers within 150 miles of me with any amount of parts. Right now I'd say I'm going to buy a new Gleaner R65 because I have 3 dealers within 65 miles that have lots of parts and 2 of them have excellent service. I remember my old White 9720's and the nice job they did but my R72 has been much more dependable

Why are you stepping back from a class7 to a class 6 combine.

Class size only has to do with HP and tank size. My 94 R72 has 300 Hp. The new R65 has 285 with bulge to 305. Tank and every thing else is the same except the $20,000 more for the R75 which has 330 HP. My 98 has 330 HP. I only do beans and corn and I don't see any advantage for the extra 30 HP on the 12 row corn head and only when the beans are green the first week of harvest. After that I might just as well save the extra fuel and the $20,000. Also on resale, even if I traded every year R72s only bring `1_2 that difference on the resale end. If I were a custom harvester doing a lot of hours each year that would make a difference too in favor of the 75.
