If you put the 3" pipe just behind your cutter bar(See hypernize),would you still need the rock sump. I'm thinking the pipe would prevent the rocks from entering your machine. We don't have rocks like that in West Tn.
Thanks Steve, I saw that under Tips and thought it was a flex head thing. Should work to keep rocks from sliding under auger and maybe 1.5" or 2" hose is large enough. I'm going to try it and will let the board know. later.......Orm
I believe the ones made in ND are for the P1's and there is the later and earlier P1. The early P1 had the rock door latch onto front of concave and the later had rock door latch onto a stationary crossmember. I believe it was in 1985 that they started with the later style and many previous machines were updated to later style. R's with the P1 of course had the later style. Gleaner are only ones to make the sump for P3s but I don't believe it will work for the R60 70s. let use know if you need the number to call for sump kit. The door in your R60 will work well for you if not set to tight. let me know if there is a jobber in ND that makes a sump kit for 62-72's.
