BFH and long Punch or Slidehammer with lot's of Bug Juice....ie....Panther pi$$......ie......wd-40. Not one of Massey's better ideas. That was a Royal pain in the and*^%*(and^(and when we did the 750.

Heat and hammer is about the only way, unless you have a line on replacement parts, that you cut.

Robbie, I see you say you bought your 860 from s.w. of W.A. I bought an 850 from the Agco dealer in Esperance in March, so this should be an interesting harvest. I'm from Victoria.

Main problem starts when they havent been shedded ,which mine wasnt, Coincidently went to Esperance with In_laws to look at 860and760 He spoke of a low hr 850 that went east It will be an interesting harvest especially here rained all summer then very little in winter total harvest will be well down on last yr

I assume the 860 is the same as the 750. The shaft is held in place by only three or four bushings spaced along the shaft.

Observe that the end frames of your concave are laminated. If one of these laminations moves just a little sideways, it will lock the shaft in place (they can do this in normal machine operation). Squeeze the laminations together with vise grips and weld a bead across the front in order to prevent them from spreading.

Concave was the segmented type Have shaft out now In between the female hex of the rock trap was chock full of rust left soak for a day in various concoctions much hammering , have replacement shaft out of 760.We should hopefully be harvesting on Monday For anyone When cleaning out always blow that area out spotless the is a gap where water dust etc can get in and lodge trapping moisture May save some grief at some point in time
