Bison Rotor; Originally designed in South Africa a few years ago by a custom cutter for the CIH combines but is now available for CIH, Gleaner, Massey and other colours. It is quite radical in it's design but still has the ability to perform in all crops in all conditions according to reports from Gleaner owners all over. It is superb at handling tough harvesting conditions with much reduced HP requirements and much a much greater capacity plus reduced rotor losses over any other more convential rotor. For more info, the Bison Rotor site [ which could be greatly improved! ] http:__www.bisonrotor.com_ And Hurtt Equipment ; http:__www.hurttequipment.com_hurtt.cfmIJID=13

Bison is a Non OEM Rotor of very different design and concept. Will and has worked on all colored Rotary Combines. Peng, I Can't see why not! I'm sure there be away to fit a Bison to a N5, The N5 has a long processor, or short oneIJ As for the crops your doing, it would work no worries as that I think thats is what it is designed for. Haven't got to our wheat yet, So I'm hoping that we can get a good thresh job on it, I think it should be no worries as you can run the Rotor revs a lot faster than where I'm currently running in lentils 190-200, where wheat I should be able to get up around a 1000+ revs to help with thresh job, and use extra filler bars as needed! I'm running 5 in now on the lentils and really tight on the front of concave 3-5 mm. It's looking like theres a bit of refinement coming for the thresher section with Bisons, but nothing that anybody on here could not cope with! Ran through two low lying patches of lentils yesterday, Yield might have been up around 2 ton_Hectare :) Sample in box was perfect no pod , no cracked or splits! air temp has been low for a couple of days, having some pod and some slightly more splits in the sample than before due to rain (seed gone tender!) Put number five filler bar in and have fixed pods in sample, put returns back to Acc rollers and it didn't seems to increase splits! Temp today will be 32C max, will be interesting to see if I have to take the filler bar number five out or I can just keep opening up the concave a bit at a time! Rolf
