Combines Rotary Air Screen

I have heard that the newer 2388's have an orbit motor mounted on the rotary screen to maintain rotation in difficult conditions luch as yours. I have both a 1480 and a 1680 and have the same problem. I am considering mounting an orbit motor on the 1680 and have long thought of a simple 12volt motor for the 1480. without adequate rotation speed you will plug your radiator.

Quick fix is to disconnect the wire at sensor. Make sure bearing in screen is okay don't want to over heat the engine!(watch heat gauge closely)You have to press alarm off only on start up.

Stxman, The rotary air screen up to the 2100, rotated from air drawn over the fan blades mounted to the screen. If chaff built up on the screen the air flow slowed and rotation slowed. Along with adding aftercoolers and larger hydro coolers they needed more area. I assume large fans cost more than a hydro motor to turn the screen. On the side looks like it's going to work better. Air flow pulls through the screen and straight through the heat exchangers. 2388's are having sealing problems with the current design, but access for cleaning is better and improvements are on the way (or that's what I've been told).
