Combines rotor combines

Hi Sebas I raise corn and soybeans in Minnesota USA where the temp is usually around 10 C when we combine our crops. In 97 and 98 we had 30 C for a few days and my R60 didnt notice any difference. I was barefoot with a pair of short pants in the cab and I enjoyed every minute of it. One guy in my area leased a CTS but he let it go back to the dealer because of problems. I dont know if his problems were personal like he couldnt afford the payments or if there were problems with the machine. That is the only CTS I know anything about. Tom in MN

Hi Tom. Those temps you mentioned that you harvest in, we would not even make a start on havest at that temp.WE harvest in temps around 30-35c all the time in Aust. often 40c+.Their is no differance in machine performance at high temp. IF you set the machine right.As always that is the secret.

Here in the wheat state (Kansas) we harvest wheat in all kinds of weather. It is not uncommon that the temperture will get to 105 to 110 F. I don't know how that computes to celsus. We actually like it better when it get that hot because the straw will be really dry and that "ole Gleaner" rotor you just can't hardly get it in the combine fast enough. So to hot temperture is not a problem, it is to cold of temperture with to much humidity that causes problems. Kurt

110f is around 40-41c,the only way to harvest!!
