Pull rotor and should be able to replace output seal and_or soft plug for shift rail.Soft plugs can fall out from shifting gearbox high_low.

I just made the repair this past fall. We pulled the rotor and inserted a new plug. We used silicone rubber sealant to help glue the plug in. So far it has held. It was a two to three hour job for two people. If that is not your problem it may be the seal leaking, which will entail more work.

oops, this not a good post to read during harvest. JJ Nichting at Pilot Grove, IA ( just NW of Fort Madison) has had just about anything I would need in a hurry. If they didn't have it, almost no one would. My Birkey's store has been really good to get parts as well. Kenny at Macomb is A n1 in the parts Dept. Most of the Birkeys stores moves parts around really quick just my experience
