Why do you run your cylinder so fastIJ I usually run mine about 550 to 650 and rotor loss in almost nothing.

well, its just my opinion, but its worked better for us here. we have tried it all speeds. there is just so much material going in that faster works better. kind of like mowing grass, does a better job when the engine is wide open. but again thats just my opinion.

You might be suprised if you slow it down. Give it a try once and let us know what happens. You have lOTS of power in that beast, and the Hyper setup makes stuff flow through so much better. Also, if you find the time, don't be afraid to pull another 2 - 4 bars off the rotor - just make sure they're in rows and not staggard around. Taking these bars off doesn't cut capacity at all from what we've experienced. Just don't take any off over the threshing concave - may cause trouble in tough beans. Adding the F2 bars will definately help the Hi-lo setup cut losses. Get them in there first chance you get! Keep us posted! Tom langan

If your going by your pacer with it set on the rotor or combined setting it has been my experience that it will never stay down. It does work on shoe setting and thats were most guys leave it. The rotor sensor does not seem to work very well. You can get inaccurate readings. I would like to know if others can make the rotor sensor work satisfactory.

thanks Tl. i may try that tomorrow. it is supposed to here tomorrow AGAIN... did try slowing rotor speed but doesn't seem to help one way or the other. i am about to get discusted with the cyl loss. but i am cutting in some of the worst conditions ever. beans laid flat on ground, some have popped out and are now growing adout 6" tall. could it be the green stuff causing my lossIJIJ i took the spreader off and counted about 100 beans per sq ft with a 30 ft header. some one tell me what this = toin bu per acre or tell me how to figure it. i looked in the book but i was so mad today i didn't want to try. thanks for all of the input.
