ihman---I have the same combine except I have a specialty rotor. I set the concaves at 3 and the rotor at 350 and the fan wide open. I drive 6mph in 150-170 bu corn at 17% with no loss except on ends and poor populations. You are tumbling the cobs instead of rubbing the corn from them. My cobs are almost all whole except for the breakage at the chopper. I don't know if you are shelling good quality corn or not which makes a difference. Try speeding the rotor to 450 or so and good luck. Keep the rotor full when you can and the "ears pinned back on the old girl" and watch her smile.
