In what position is the vanesIJ It would help if it is in front of the middle position.The concave clearance must be so that their is not to much cob breakeage.The rotor speed must be so that their is not to much kernel damage.
I guess I do not understand your question, I have a standard AFX rotor for corn and soybeans. This rotor resembles a standard specialty rotor except for the screw impeller on the nose. I took out the wires this morning, and noticed positive results. I had all the wires in the first and 1_2 of the second concave. They all now have every other wire out.
Both concave and grate vanes are in the middle position. I upped the rotor speed to 390-400 and took out every other concave wire out. Noticable improvment today. About 1_2 the cobs are broke and less than 4% stress cracks. The corn today I was picking was Non-GMO Hard endosperm. Pioneer 33D31 coming out at 15.0-16.0% moisture.
