Trent; don't worry about the hi-lo or hump kit. Be sure you have fwd. bars all the way through. extend every other row into discharge.Also triangle filler plate is good on 62's not sure if this applies to 40-50's or not.We made disrupters out of the extra back up's from discharge paddles when we extended fwd. bars.they can be used on cage if running all bars or on blank spots on rotor if you are leaving off some bars. Our 50 responded to mods much better than the 62; maybe because the crop only goes around the rotor once instead of 1.5 times in the 62IJ Plus I think hp per foot of rotor length is better on the 50_52. I'm sure Agco had their reasons for dropping the small p-3's but they were a better fit for our area,wish we could get them back!

While all FWD bars in the STD rotor will get beans through and do a fine job it will be a disasetr in tough corn. We did that about 6 years wgo in our R72 and ran it 3 days trying everything under the sun to keep it from throwing 23% corn out the chopper. Finally we pulled the rotor and put 4 reverse bars(2 in the second and 3rd row) in and the problem was solved. It did a great job in beans, but in tough high yielding corn you just couldn't seperate it. We now run one with the CDF and we get great performance in beans as well as in corn. My advice is to put the CDF or comparable in, cut the hump out under the front of the rear feed conveyor(if it is in the little machines),install 7" drums and drop the rear portion of the front floor 3_4" and you will be able to forget all the other Mickey Mouse mods.

It did take alot of Mickey Mouse mods to come up with the Mitey Mouse!! Feeder floor mod does pertain to the small machines just the same as large machines just narrower. '92 R52s and R50s had a 2" shorter tail end of front floor than '93 or newer machines. We shorten this floor 3" on newer machines and 1" on earlier machines. We tilt this floor down 1_2" from original before welding back together. The front of rear floor does have the hump like larger machines so we eliminate that with new floor and weld back at original height. 7" rear drum would be good but some have modified stops to allow 8" to go higher but not so high it can contact bottom of hopper. Of course the shock kit needs to be installed if not allready. That is one Mickey Mouse mod that ended up a Mitey Mouse mod. Best of luck
