There are a lot of different ways to tweek the Size 80 specialty rotor. Assuming your not harvesting Rice, Grass Seed, Sunflowers, or food grade crops, you probably really only need to worry about how many Straight Separator Bars you are running and where they are located. The Specialty Grain has 4 Straight Separator bars staggered near the rear of the rotor. I'm not sure about the Specialty Corn. The Rochelle certainly has the straight bars placed over the concaves, but I'm not sure how many total it has. We really like the Gordon bars over the front of the rotor. They are perhaps the most "universal" solution and Marvin can comment more accurately if you describe the crops you will be harvesting. As for wear, I don't think you can beat them. They will certainly outlast your combine.

They'd need to outlast the combine! They are $2370 for the concave area alone compare to $922 for the chrome Case ones. No sale.

Ed, Did you check on used onesIJ Click on the Bargain Bin link in the left nav bar and it will give you the number to call. $31 each and you will need 12 of them for an 80 rotor. I can assure you that the used Gordon Bar is much better than a new Chrome plated bar. When you trade your machine off, simply keep your bars for the next one. Heck, it's cheaper anyway.

$2370IJ Which currency are you quotingIJ The U.S. price for the Gorden bars over the 3 concaves totals $US1260.00. Compared to the o.e.m. bars, the Gorden bars weigh two and one half times more. local dealer priced the bars at $117 Canadian. I count 20 on the diagram I downloaded from your site. that is just for the threshing area, not the separator bars. It takes 3 to 4 weeks to get Case ones. I expect bean harvest will be done first.
