Combines rotor won t slow down

Mine the lead was off of the slow limit switch. Switches are normally closed and open when limit is hit or operated. Check that switch is closed and leads are on rite terminals as these switches have a common and normally open and normally closed terminals. Weapon

jello; Normaly closed. The click opens the circuit denying current to the motor when limit is achieved. Try removing the leads on the suspected limit switch and tie them together as to bypass the limit switch. Try cab switch again. If rotor slows, then replace faulty limit switch. Or you can use a tester on the limit switch and work the arm back and forth to see if the voltage from the tester comes and goes. Disconnect leads first.

Again thanks R.H+R for your tip on the fan speed adj. I took the plug apart cleaned it and put some terminal gunk on it and it works perfectly now. I will try out the override connecting together the terminals on the switches seperatly and try to locate the culprit. Thanx. Jello.

Still nothing even when wires hooked together, or unhooked totally. Tried switch in cab .--o.k. Seems to be the red with black stripe has no juice(cab end). IJ IJ IJ Jo.

jello; You feel then, the problem is at the cab endIJ The rotor switch must be able to send juice to either side (faster_slower) in order to operate the motor in back. I am not familiar with the rotor switch as to what it looks like for connections, but said switch must be able to direct current both ways. Is red_black stripe the feeder wire or something elseIJ, guess I'd have to look at my own 1660.

No. The switch has hot center and one side carries power to either for or rev, I assume. Bypassed(unplugged switch and connected wires)with no better results. Problem not in cab, or with limit switches. IJ IJ IJ IJ IJ IJ J.O

Gotit ! Electrical connector(hard to get to) at motor was dirty...just like the fan adjust plug. Mebad. 100% better now. Keep those plugs clean everyone !! JO.
