Combines rotor won t start

engine revs sufficientIJ My 2188 has to be at about 1010 at least or she won't kick in. A post will display incr spd

hyd pto is bad or filter and oil is is your rotary screen spinningIJ get it to work and them your separator will start.

It won't start at any rpm, tried the whole range. Tony, what do you mean about the rotary screen spinningIJ It spins when the pto is engaged. But I think it doesn't spin until then. How do I get it to spinIJ What does that have to do with itIJ The oil smells and looks good.

what happens if you shut the machine down turn off the key turn it back on and off again than restart the engine I have had the header not engage on our 23 and that is the only way we got it to work dealer say the internal computer has to reset itself dont know if it will work on your deal or not

the rotary screen should run all the time. their was an update to do this the pto runs the screen. when it was cold mine didn't want to engage I discovered teh screen not running so I spun it and sure enough the combine started up. I think it's hooked into the pto cooler IJ

that did it, thanks tony. Now, why isn't the screen spinningIJ I don't want my 13 year old to have to run around to spin the screen every time he starts up.

start with oil and filter but more than likely your pto is shot I'd puta new one in it when it gets cold it won't work Tony

oil and filter are new, maybe just the cooling pump is shot.
