Combines round baling straw

rs Fred, We have some experience putting straw up in fixed chamber round bales and would say that there is a small window of conditions, where that works well.Generally the problem is the bale will stop rotating in the chamber about the time it is nearing completion. So to get it wrapped you have to start at an earlier pressure gauge reading then would usually be used during most other baling. Also it goes much better to roll up dry straw just after the dew comes on in the evening. It can be done successfully, but it may also be very trying if the straw is not just right.

Use a New Holland Round baler, like the 668. It works great.

Can you even bale short, dry wheat straw behind a 1688IJ On a hot, dry day I find rotary straw very difficult to work with.
