I live in South Central Kansas, south of Wichita. Wichita and Hutchinson both have some huge elevators. I think the DeBruce elevator southwest of Wichita may be the largest in the world. We usually start cutting here around the 12th to the 15th of June, depending on the year. South of Wichita on the Oklahoma border usually starts a few days earlier. I use Deere tractors but swiched to red combine and planter a few years ago. I just bought a slick 2388 last December and used it about 30 hours to cut milo. Can't wait to see what it will do in 50-60 bu. wheat. most of the wheat here looks pretty good, especially the newer varities. (Overley, Jagalene, etc.) Several Deere and Case dealers in the area here. Come take a look around. John
