Combines RWA 2 speed

Do the Deeres have a two speed RWAIJIJ.......or a two speed hydroIJ Just curious, I have a CIH 2388 with a factory installed mudhog and a two speed hydro. It seems to work really well; although the rear wheels don't seem to throw any mud, I see the tracks are crinkled when the going gets wet, so I'm sure they're pushing. I was thinking the rears ought to be slinging mud, but several guys have said that it shouldn't. Any thoughtsIJ

When you hit the switch to activate the rear axle all it does is splits the oil and distributes the oil between the front and the rear axle. If the rear axle was mechanical driven like a front wheel assist tractor it would have a positive advance on it where it might turn at 1.5 to 4% advance over the rear tires.

I have a Gilchrist pusher and the unit performs well. Just push the button and I keep on moving. I pugt duals on the R62 and it with the pusher letes me cut no only all the field, but I can keep the shoe loaded.

How long have you had your "Pusher" RWAIJ Is there a lot of extra maintenanceIJ How about durabilityIJ It sounds like you like it. Can you compare it to the Mud HogIJ

I have had a real wheel assist from AGCO that I put over on 3 diff. machines. When you kick the RWA in it will slow you down just like a two-speed. Real handy to start out in 4th RWA and take out of RWA when your RPMs are clear up. Have heard some weird stories that you need to backup after taking out of RWA. But like I said I had one that went through 3 machines with constant on the go shifting (3000 total hours). Maybe the AGCO RWA is the same as a MUDHOGIJ
