I had the 1.5" knife, I got tired of all ways taking the shims out to keep it tight, I installed the sch 3 yrs. ago, last year was the first time that I had to replace a guard, If I had to do it again, I will install that knife again.
Installed the SCH replacing the 1.5 cutterbar on a 20ft. 1020 for soybeans. My personal opinion it was a waste of money: -No trade in value on head with SCH bar -No better cutting ability then a regular 3" section. Might work better in wheatIJ We run regular 3" cutterbars in soybeans and would not change.
