I ran a SCH knife on a 220 head for six years never replaced a single guard. I would run 800 to 1200 acrs a year of soybeans on same sections. no shims to mess with. The best I ever ran. The only promlem is the price.
Iput sch cutter bar on jd220 last yr it worked great,I just now installed sch pro drive, but si dist. had no instructions on horizontal spring settings, it came with new yoke which is longer than oringal.can anyone help me.
I don't know any thing about the SCH but we have a tiger jaw on a 920 and ground speed is 3-6 mph depending on the condtions, most of the time we run 4.5 to 5.2 mph with out taring any beans.
Go with the Carey . They work great and the hold downs are the best I have ever used , super easy to adjust too . We used an SCH for a while , not bad when new but they drive really hard when the are worn a bit . Dave
